Warner loves Manning

Written by Todd Smith on .

Kurt Warner commented on Charley Casserly's assertation that Arizona may be a long-shot candidate for Peyton Manning:

"Nothing against Kevin Kolb or John Skelton and all those guys, but if you get a chance to get Peyton Manning, and you can pull that off, you get Peyton Manning because he's a once-in-a-lifetime type guy," Warner said.

"He's a special player, and if you add him to Larry Fitzgerald and the defense that they have here and maybe a couple other pieces around him, and it could be special."

I will never resign myself to Peyton in another jersey, but it´s great to see Warner, a very special QB by all means, be that direct about 18´s greatness.

The Colts may not know if Manning is healthy by March 8. If that means he gets cut then I hope he finds a landing spot outside of the division and if possible the conference. It has to be somewhere he'll get protection and have weapons. Arizona's pass protection isn't going to get it done. They'd need an upgrade.

I like it. If Peyton does leave, this is a good spot. They have weapons (Fitz, Beanie, Doucet, Roberts), and a defense that can make a lot of plays. I like Whisenhunt a lot as a coach. ALso, it puts him in the NFC West, far, far away from the Colts (possible meeting in 2013 in Indy, though).
