By now you know about Coach Chuck Pagano's leukemia diagnosis. You've quite possibly heard more about it than you wanted to by now. You know he is undergoing treatment, and many sources, including the Indianapolis Star's Phillip B. Wilson, have noted that the prognosis for survival is actually very promising with the type of leukemia the affable coach is now fighting. As fans, there just isn't much we can do.
However, as we wait to see if Interim Coach Bruce Ariens and the Colts can put together a winning effort in Pagano's honor, albeit against a formidable Packers team, one thing we can do is take a few moments to show some support. Though he'll likely never have time to read them all, such an outpouring of care and support from Colts fans could mean a great deal to the coach who is now sequestered in a hospital room. As noted by Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com:
The Colts ask that cards and notes of support be sent to Pagano at their headquarters: P.O. Box 53500, Indianapolis, IN 46253. (No flowers will be accepted.)
Flowers. Imagine what a mess that could be; piles and piles of flowers. Yeah, don't do that. Stick to the aforementioned card or note. Besides, Chuck Pagano doesn't look like a guy who wants your pretty bouquet of flowers. He looks like a man born to prowl the sideline, motivating, teaching, and winning football games for a living. Get well soon, Coach. #ChuckStrong
