Kyle Rodriguez: Packers vs Colts Instant Grades and Analysis

Written by Marcus Dugan on .

Colts Authority's Kyle Rodriguez has some postgame grades for the Colts after their inspiring win over Green Bay.  Kyle graded and analyzed everyone from Andrew Luck (A) to Josh Gordy (B-), and he saw some good work from some members of the offensive line (no, not all of them), defensive line, and the linebackers:

Robert Mathis: A-

He got a hit on Rodgers in the redzone, forcing a throw into coverage that was incomplete. He had a few pressures throughout the game, including a sack in the fourth quarter. However, he was injured on the play and forced out of the game.

Dwight Freeney: B

Freeney did get a sack in the second half, but wasn’t as disruptive throughout the game as the Colts would like. He did have a nice play to disrupt a run to the outside in the third quarter.

It's nice to see Freeney and Mathis what they do best and terrorizing the opposing quarterback.  I also find it encouraging that Indy was able to run the ball in this game.  Kyle really hit a home run here.  Make sure you click that link.  Enjoy.

Great win!  Rough grading--our tackles did a tough job-Reggie wow-Brown quick on ends-but an A?  But I know you are related,  can not believe the run stopping!  Luck tough kid!

Great stuff, Kyle!  It was great to see such a performance from the whole team in the second half.  It was strange to see the weaker components of the secondary (Vaughn, Gordy)  had performed better than the stronger (Bethea, Powers).  I was pretty pleased with Vaughn's play.

One nit to pick: I think you need to switch the name Lavon Brazill with the name of our new kid, Nathan Palmer.  He dropped that pass and I don't remember seeing Brazill at all.  I could be wrong but Brazill had no targets or other stats in the game according to the box score.

@Kyle Rodriguez I'm up in the middle of the night with my 11 month old, and saw your tweet.  It's fixed.  I don't know how that happened.  it's a fine article, by the way.  I was clearly in quite a hurry to get it linked up.  I don't know how that happened.  Worse yet, you probably auto-tweeted it.  I'm so mad at myself at the moment.  I can actually kill this thing and re-post it the right way altogether if you'd like.  I doubt too many people will miss it if I delete it and re-post.
