Robert Mathis Puts Family First
Robert Mathis has decided to spend time with his fiancee and newborn twins rather than head to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl.
Yesterday, ColtsAuthority reader peytonsthebest asked Mathis directly whether he would be interested in returning to the Colts next year. He responded:
yea but i have a new fam&my decision is based solely on their best interest
This is one of the reasons we love him so dearly and hope that he DOES remain a Colt for life!
Now let me start by saying I love Mathis as a person and player, but the title of this post could be Mathis puts money first. If I was 30 (hey wait I am 30) If I was a 30 year old Robert Mathis without a contract for 2012, I wouldn't go risk injury in a meaningless game either. Mathis will play for the highest bidder in 2012, and I don't blame him one bit. I'de love to see him return, but I have my doubts he will.
Robert Mathis is a class act. I can totally respect for that. I wish more men (and some women) were like him. I actually know mothers who have delivered babies one week and are back out in the next week in the streets behaving like childless women...smh
