Lombardi: Bring Super Bowl back
Written by Todd Smith.
The chorus of praise for the city of Indianapolis is loud and growing. Michael Lombardi sums it up best:
» I loved the Super Bowl in Indianapolis. The town was awesome, the stadium is amazing and the weather was incredible for February. Indy deserves another Super Bowl, and soon.
How much of this love of the Super Bowl changes if the weather wasn't what I believe to be uncharacteristically good? I mean, Dallas has better weather than Indy overall this time of year, but since there was an ice storm last year, a lot of people hated the Dallas Super Bowl, and because it was 50+ this year everyone loves Indy. From what I have heard is everything is close enough that bad weather wouldn't effect much of what happens, but no one has ever said that Detroit deserves another Super Bowl, and I think that is mostly about weather.
Could just as easily been 10 degrees with 6 inches of snow. I think the way the event was organized should make it mostly weather proof, though.
If he'd been here last year at this time, he might have a slightly different impression of our weather. Yay global warming!
@Music Man That reminds me, I got a couple of cans of freon..... SHORTS NEXT JANUARY!!!!!!! and I'm crying on the inside....
