Kuharsky Compares AFC South Quarterbacks

Colts Authority Daily Links

In case you missed it, Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com has some interesting stuff posted in the AFC South Blog, comparing QBR and passer ratings of all the quarterbacks who have seen action in the division.

A reminder on Total QBR: It’s a quarterback rating that takes into account all of a QB’s significant contributions (passing, rushing, sacks, fumbles, penalties) to his team’s scoring and winning...

Follow the link to find out which AFC South quarterback has the highest QBR in the league.

Luck's FootballOutsiders rankings are strikingly different -- he's middle of the pack in both DYAR and DVOA. I'm inclined to think that's a more accurate representation of his performance so far than Total QBR. Can somebody put these rankings in context for me?

@pierrezombie That's a very good point.  Luck's QBR might be skewed a bit because of a few desperation runs for first downs in a really small sample of games.  I bet as the season wears on, his QBR will more closely reflect his FO numbers.

That's... amazing. Who knew?

And if you follow through to the full QBR page (http://espn.go.com/nfl/qbr), notice who's quietly sitting at #5, just a tenth of a point ahead of our old friend Tom Brady. Yep. The GOAT.

Also, after last year, it sure is nice to look at the bottom of that list and not see a Colts QB listed.
