Kelley: Luck, Almost One Regular Season Later
With one regular season game left, Andrew Luck is close to finishing a great rookie campaign; Craig Kelley from Colts.com reports on how Luck continues to improve game-by-game.
Said Luck in April, “I know that if I woke up every morning trying to compare myself to Peyton, I think I would go crazy. It’s impossible. I am going to go out there and do the best I can.” Luck (325-of-599 passing for 4,183 yards, 21 TDs) has acquitted himself well in setting the NFL rookie passing record and inching toward or surpassing Manning’s (326-of-575, 3,739 yards, 26 TDs) rookie marks.
So, more attempts, more completions (we can hope), more yards, and slightly fewer touchdowns; along with the single game rookie passing record, it seems like the Colts have picked the right guy. RGIII may be in the pro-bowl, but his team still needs to win this week (Indy doesn't) - and Luck's taken every single snap for the Colts this season. Say what you will about regular stat lines, but Luck has been more impressive this season - and he's already prepping for week one of the postseason.
