ESPN: Jim Caldwell to Baltimore
Written by Todd Smith on .
ESPN is reporting that Jim Caldwell will join the Baltimore Ravens offensive staff:
Former Indianapolis Colts head coach Jim Caldwell plans to join the offensive coaching staff of theBaltimore Ravens, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Ravens announced last week that Cam Cameron would return as offensive coordinator, but they still need a quarterbacks coach for Joe Flacco. Caldwell now appears to be the choice.
The old switcheroo! Congrats to Jim. I wish him the best (though I don't wish the same for the Ravens).
Go gettem' Jim! It's impossible not to think of this in terms of a trade.... Colts win?
@Kyle Rodriguez I agree, good for Caldwell - can't help but feel as if he's still riding Manning's coattails to a degree. Glad he found a good landing spot with a good team.
@Mr. Indianapolis Colts@Kyle Rodriguez I think Caldwell is a legitimately solid AC who just didn't have the chops to transition to HC. Unfortunately there was no way to know that without giving him a shot at HC and when he didn't pan out there was no way for him to go back to AC with the same team.
He deserves to land with a good team. Me gusta.
