*Intangibles. Neither player is lacking in this area, but Peyton is an all-timer with intangibles. “Peyton’s mind and vision are at the highest level possible,” one of the personnel directors said. “He has total command. You can’t outwork him. He’s a better leader.” Said another, “Peyton is ultra competitive. Eli is more laid back, but he has turned that into a positive.”
What, no Superbowl Open Thread? Thank you Eli. The Manningham play is epic. Unbelievable. This one is bittersweet, due to Peyton´s situation and the nonsense some will spout about Eli being better than 18, but Eli winning makes me (us, I´m sure) happy, the Cheatriots lost, Brady proved he is not the clutchiest 4th quarter QB to ever clutch when he needs a TD, and the Luke got to to celebrate a Manning entering the books.
Peyton is much better at giving himself up to avoid a bad hit. I cringe seeing Eli get up with grass in his helmet and pads out of his jersey from just getting pasted.
