In his Colts Notebook, Mike Chappell of The Indianapolis Star spoke with Drew Stanton about how glad he is to be in Indy. It's not always the case that players are happy or even possibly relieved to be traded, but in Stanton's case, he has definitely come into a great organization and the beginning of something special in the Circle City. Chappell and Stanton mostly discussed the situation the Quarterback was in with the New Jersey (I don't like calling them New York) Jets:
Even so, Stanton has noticed the controversy swirling around Sanchez and Tebow.
"It's difficult not to see what's going on there," he said. "It's plastered all over ESPN daily, especially with Tebow added to the mix. I didn't want to be a part of that. That I'm thankful for."
I saw Stanton interacting with Andrew Luck last night on NFL Turning Points on the NBC Sports Network (a must watch if you have cable or satellite - I will try to find a link if NBC posted it online). From those few seconds of video and what we see of him on the sidelines, Stanton looks like he has fully embraced his role in the Colts.
