As a slight followup to the last link, it's been confirmed: Robert Mathis is expected to take the field against Miami. According to the Associated Press:
The four-time Pro Bowl player expects to play Sunday against Miami after missing the previous three games with a knee injury. ''That's the plan,'' he said Thursday. ''Looking forward to being out there with the fellas again.''
Good news for the Colts defense; they could use a bit more line presence, especially if they want to take some pressure off their DBs.
I agree, by the way, these defensive backs need the front seven to get some pressure on the qb so they don't need to try to play man-to-man for so long. A healthy Mathis can make them look a lot better.
