Friday status report in advance of Sunday's game:
COLTS
Out: QB Peyton Manning
(neck).
Questionable: S Antoine Bethea (hamstring), WR Austin Collie (foot), WR Anthony Gonzalez (hamstring), DT Drake Nevis (foot), WR Blair White (back).
TEXANS
Out: CB Roc Carmichael (shoulder).
Questionable: RB Arian Foster (hamstring).
Probable: G Antoine Caldwell (ankle), NT Earl Mitchell (knee), S Glover Quin (head), LB Brooks Reed (wrist), LB DeMeco Ryans (elbow, ankle), LS Jon Weeks (ankle), LB Mario Williams (groin, Achilles).
For the Colts, Bethea, Collie, and Gonzalez all had full participation in Friday's practice. They will likely be playing in Sunday's game. White had limited participation and Nevis didn't practice at all on Friday. I'm not sure if either of them will be playing Sunday.
The Colts are going to need all of the firepower they can get for the season opener without Manning. The injury to Nevis is particularly troubling, considering that the Colts only have four defensive tackles on the roster.
On the other hand, the full participation of Collie and Gonzalez (especially Gonzo) is very encouraging.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game, even if it could be ugly. I'll be rooting them on just the same, Manning or no Manning.
Go Colts!
