[caption id="" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="Bring back the Rosen-Copter!"]check out the 506. There have been some disappointing scratches from today's game. Per the Indy Star:[/caption] The Colts' season opens today! The game starts at one 0'clock in Houston, at Reliant Stadium. Unfortunately for me, it is not on TV in Michigan. Sad. It will be on in Indiana, and for the rest of the map,
Wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, a 2007 first-round pick, and defensive end Jerry Hughes, the 2010 first-rounder, will not play this afternoon. Gonzalez has been dealing with an injury to his right hamstring. Hughes is a so-called “healthy scratch.’’ Also inactive today are wide receiver Blair White, cornerback Kevin Thomas, running back Darren Evans, offensive lineman Jamey Richard and quarterback Peyton Manning. For the Colts, it's disappointing to see Gonzo and Hughes inactive. I was a big advocate for the Colts to keep both of them, but to not see them active is extremely depressing. It's obviously not the end of the world, but it's not an encouraging sign. On the other hand, Houston's Arian Foster is inactive for the game with a hamstring injury, which will give the Colts' defense a bit of a handicap. On a somber note, today marks the tenth anniversary of September 11th, 2001. Take some time today to thank any members of the armed service today, as well as remembering that day in memorial. Remember the brave Americans who sacrificed in defense of this great nation. Most importantly (but not really), Go Colts!
