Colts Reportedly Sign LB A.J. Edds UPDATE: Bullitt to IR

While the move hasn't been announced yet, the Daily Journal is reporting that the Colts have signed former Greenwood Community High School standout linebacker A.J. Edds.
With the injuries to Gary Brackett and Ernie Sims, the signing of Edds gives the Colts a little more depth at a thin position. It's yet to be seen who the Colts got rid of to fit him and Orlovsky onto the active roster.
One possible situation is the Colts cutting LB Larry Triplett, another possibility is that Ernie Sims has been placed on the injured reserve list.
Of course, all of this is just speculation after the Edds signing.
Edds was cut from the Patriots' practice squad last week, and was originally a Dolphins' fourth round pick in the 2010 draft. He is a good coverage linebacker, an area in which the current Colts' linebackers

Colts safety Melvin Bullitt needs shoulder surgery and will be put on IR which means he's out for the season.This means Bullitt has been put on IR for shoulder problems two seasons in a row. That doesn't look good for his career's future.
