After looking like an NFL quarterback against the Patriots secondary last week, Dan Orlovsky returned to form against the Baltimore Ravens, leading to the Colts' 167 total yards on the day, 76 of which came on the final drive of the game. He ended with 136 yards on 17 of 37, with one touchdown and one interception.
Orlovsky was rattled early, as Anthony Castonzo struggled with Terrell Suggs. Of course, Orlovsky didn't help, having terrible pocket presence all game.
More complete review tomorrow, but there wasn't much positive to say about this game. We knew the offense would be bad against a terrific Raven's defense, but they were completely inept all game. The defense didn't look much better giving up 106 yards to Ray Rice on 26 carries, not a great YPC, but it was hurt by garbage time when the Colts stacked the box.
Flacco was his normal, average self, going 23/31 for 227 yards, 2 TDs and an interception. That would be decent numbers... but it comes against the worst pass defense in the league. Now that we've seen the Orlovsky-led Colts against the two extremes (NE Pass D is awful, Ravens' D is tops in the league), it will be interesting to see him in the last three games. Houston is 5th in DVOA against the pass, Tennessee is 19th, and Jacksonville 7th.
