You can ask questions here in the open thread, on twitter @GregCowanCA and @ColtsAuth_Kyle
@RobertItoh haha, I so so so hope this becomes a thing.
I don't see the Witten and Allen comp. Witten plays more like a finesse volume guy. Allen will bulldoze you to just catch one TD.
You and me both greg. I want the Clark/Pollard/Dilger/Utecht pairing where teams don't know if we are running or passing. It would cause hell for defenses especially if Fleener can be explosive in the slot. Im sure he can block a slot corner for the run game too
he seems real hell bent on doing all three. Think he would leave IND for someone who gives him a chance?
"Carmelo SUCKS!!! TRADE HIM!!!"
Shut up and be happy Knicks fans. The Knicks haven't been this relevant since when Ewing was good ¬¬
The missed FG against the Steelers to me was the most soul crushing loss ever. We would have destroyed the Broncos and Seahawks.
Oh and in terms of the failure in the Manning era, I think their success lead to their failure. Drafting near the bottom every year reduces your chance of drafting top tier talent to reload. Bill Polian got the raw end by Colts fans. So unfair
@RobertItoh I don't think that is entirely true. The NFL draft is a really deep pool of talent. You can find impact players in any round/pick of the draft. It's easier to find those players with the top picks, but you still should be able to find players.
The colts whiffed a bunch of 1st rounders in a row, and now the whole Polian era looks really bad because of it.
@chewie_33 @RobertItoh The Colts have only had 1 top five pick in the Manning era and a 1 top ten pick. They highest pick they have had since then was 22 with the rest being 27 or lower. You think you can always find a pro bowler drafting at that position every year? its a lot harder than it looks, especially when you get into the later rounds when you consider that teams simply cant go BPA every round, no matter how much they preach it.
@RobertItoh @chewie_33 You don't need to find a pro bowler player. You need an impact player. That means a guy that makes it to his second contract with your team. If you can find 2 to 3 of those players every draft, then you'll are having good drafts in the long haul.
And you can find players to shape the roster in any round. It takes great scouting, talent evaluation and coaching, and that's why we pay GM's.
Hamilton's comments all seem to suggest he wants to do everything well. He said he wants to be able to win in any situation being it through the air or on the ground
I think it has more to do with protecting Luck rather than a full philosophical switch. It would be foolish to take the ball out of Andrew's hands
If there is any time left on the show I sugest to talk about Bill Barnwell's article about the Colts to fill in
Don't ever be blair white. Not even for a second. Especially in the last offensive play of a playoff game ¬¬
