I'll be on with Jersey Johnny tonight about 7:30 on 1070 the Fan.
We'll have post-game coverage here on CA, but also check out Todd, Kyle and me at Bleacher Report today as well.
I feel kind of bad for Titans fans, cuz they got legitimately balled a few times today. Still, very exciting win for the now 4-3 Colts! Oh baby!
I have tons of criticisms of Ballard, but there's no denying he willed himself to that TD. He deserves a freakin' medal for that play. When it counted, he executed.
Now, if he could only execute at OTHER times it matters... Then we'd be having a running back controversy. But not now. That was a tear-jerker of a play, it was that beautiful. Gorgeous. One to remember for Colts history. But his body of work still needs improvement.
He's shown he's got will, though. That right there justifies his roster spot. It's on him to improve from there.
@BDiddy Yes. He got bailed out for some terribad play calling. I think it's fair to say that the team won it in spite of him.
More evidence that execution trumps in-game coaching. Yes, execution is a product of practice coaching, but my point is that the coach needs to minimize his effect on the team during the game. He can screw the pooch just as easily as anyone on the field, and Arians almost did here. Imagine if Indy didn't win the coin toss? That last quarter suddenly looms large.
@BDiddy Just like GB, Arians gets bailed out by his players (and this time, a coin flip)
Still, that last playcall was a thing of beauty.
They can't find an angle that clearly shows it's NOT a TD. This game is over!
@Magic_racer @ManiacalOne He wanted that TD really bad. And was willing to lay out for it **IN THE AIR**. That's mind blowing.
Yes, I critique him. Yes, I don't think he's the best back. But that doesn't change the sheer, unadultrated beauty of that play. He refused to give up and laid it on the line to get the TD. That one needs to go into Colts mythology. It was that amazing of an individual effort.
I know that the Colts are gaining yards rushing. That's good. But that doesn't change the fact that Arians is taking the ball out of his best player's hands.
You judge intent, not results. Arians will get judged positively if the Colts win, when he should be excoriated for not letting Luck win it for them.
@AJ_ I disagree. If your ground game is popping you don't go back to the air just for fun.
OMG, a run play. Who'da thunk? And THIS is a guy who likes a twin TE lineup for passing? I don't think so.
#FireArians
Colts won the toss, wow. Arians is one lucky fucking skunk. And the Titans put us into the wind, which means we can't settle for a FG attempt.
Way to inspire confidence, Arians. With the kneeldown, you just told your team you don't trust them for one, game winning shot downfield.
Wow, that was TERRIBLE. What the HELL was that playcalling? Get somebody with some freaking BALLS to actually call these plays. Holy crap.
@TheGreatMisdirect LET ANDREW LUCK OFF THE LEASH. HE'S DEADLY WHEN YOU DO. WHEN YOU PULL THEM BACK, THEY START TO SUCK ASS.
BA is shit on a stick. Fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him fire him.
Colts got bailed out there. They couldn't make their mind up between going for it and not and they got burnt. that's all on Arians.
Arians playing for the tie. He'll get the loss, which is exactly what he deserves.
This is RETARDED!!! Get your ass in at least FG position! Don't waste the possessions!!
Jesus!
