thanks for joining us, everyone.  Sorry, Seefee, I hope you guys go 13-3 and we meet in the Super Bowl. <3

FUN TO WATCH FOR SOME PEOPLE. :(

@Seefee Just watch the first half.  It's indication of what's to come for the Packers.  They really are a fine team.

@MarcusDugan I think there are some real problems this year, though.  The lack of pass rush exposes the mediocre secondary over and over again.  Losing Greg Jennings hurts the vertical game a lot, and I think dropped passes are going to be another big thing this year.  We'll see.  They have talent, but I think mentally they just drop the ball a lot still (figuratively and literally, I guess).

the next Aaron Fransisco.  Sorry to clog up the feed.  I'm talkative tonight.

Careful, Greg.  That dude's a boxer.

But I agree, he's just a guy running around on the football field.

(It was also a horrible throw by Rodgers.)

@Seefee I don't think WR helped him much?

Seefee
Seefee

@GregC Jones didn't really come back to the ball, or try to prevent the interception, no.  But I think that pass only works if you throw it right on the back shoulder anyway.

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

@Seefee I'm glad it was capitalized upon, but I agree, that was a pretty bad decision.

Seefee
Seefee

@MarcusDugan It was a back shoulder pass that was ... way inside.  Rodgers' accuracy so far this year has been pretty spotty sometimes.  A far cry from last year, at least.

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

@Seefee I've been surprised by that.  He usually looks like such a superman.  Maybe he's just. not quite 100%.  I really expect him to snap out of whatever it is.  I think it's temporary.  Rodgers is just too good for this to continue.

The defense looked downright...friendly.

He has been really great at run defense for the other team

In their explanation of the new IR rule, ESPN says a team can designate a "marquee player" to come back from IR.  That says it all.  Do the Colts think Olsen is a MARQUEE PLAYER?

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

The Colts could just about play a cardboard cut-out of Seth Olsen at left guard.  I hope he gets better and all, but he's just had a horrible time on the field.

"Boston.com" says Mathis' injury is a sprained knee, btw.  Don't know how they came up with that.

Yeah, there are much more important players.  Olsen is simply BAD AT FOOTBALL

Hilton was the first rookie receiver to have more than 100 yds. receiving in a game this year.

I was frothing at the mouth when it happened.  MJ yelled at me a lot though, saying what you just said.  I never saw the footage though.  It looked like a clean hit from above, but if he was leading with his helmet, then I'll personally accept the call.

The Sam Shields "defensive" pass interference call was the one that just had me go insane.  Same thing happened in the Seahawks game with him.

 @Seefee

The officials were awful for both teams in that game.  People were so hard on the replacements that many forgot how horrid the actual refs can be.

Seefee
Seefee

@MarcusDugan Yeah, lots of bad calls in that game.  I guess it's now a mainstay of games involving the Packers.  Also, I've decided what we need are robot referees.  It is the only clear answer.

Bledsoe, Stafford, our former qb, Brees and Warren Moon where the only players to go over 650 att. And so far only Brees was able to have the same level of sucess in the next year. (stafford jury is still out but looking grimm)

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

I think so too.  Even if the helmet didn't hit his head first, he still led with his helmet.

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

It exposes him to a ton of hits from defenders, especially with the struggles in pass pro

Am I the only one worried with the amount of passes Luck is throwing? He's on pace to go over 600 att this season... and that takes a toll on your arm.

TheGreatMisdirect
TheGreatMisdirect

@chewie_33 I have a hard time believing it takes a toll on your arm since you're throwing pretty much every day in practice anyway. Plus, he's been throwing a football his entire career. Albeit, he's throwing them harder in a game, so... I don't know. Just doesn't seem to hold much water.

MarcusDugan
MarcusDugan

 @chewie_33

I do hope he won't have to throw so many per game as the season wears on.  We shouldn't have to rely on the kid that much.

I saw on Twitter that Arians wants Luck to run the no-huddle much more. If that's the case, we could put up a 40-burger. Can't wait to see if that happens or not :o.

MarcusDugan

Rolling to his left, running for his life, completing a friggin rocket pass where many qbs would be sacked.

Running the no huddle as a rookie.

That kid's been saddled with an unfair stigma.  He has a bunch of guys blocking for him who are struggling mightily.  Their best games are what you'd call average.

MarcusDugan

People hold Donald Brown to a different standard.  Before the game, he and Cedric Benson were averaging the same ypc (3.6), and people were calling him "solid" and calling Brown a "bust."

btw, Brown has a better career average than Benson and is almost assuredly a better pass blocker

I stopped crying for ten minutes to pop in and say that game was awful.  That is all. :(

@Seefee :( i'm on the next flight to Wisconsin to hug you.

Seefee

@GregC Us Wisconsinites all fled to bars after the game to run from all the jeering.  ... actually, no joke, we walked into a bar and the only people there after the game were Packer fans.

@GregC Mmm... maple syrup beer... tempting, sir.  Tempting.

@Seefee OUCH. I do drink some Canadian beer. Come up, you can try them all! :D

Seefee
Seefee

@GregC Your choice in beer is bad and you should feel bad.

... Okay, Newcastle is alright.  Also, MJ swears she told you "months ago".  But she's also a big meanie, so I am inclined to believe you instead.

GregC
GregC moderator

@Seefee MJ didn't tell me or I WOULD HAVE COME. I swear, I have an open invitation to go to a game, and if I knew you and MJ were going to be there I would have gone.

As far as beer, I drink New Castle, and Indy has Newci, so I'm happy :o

Seefee
Seefee

@GregC Well, if you loved us, you would have driven down to Indy and gone to the game with us!  Then you could have heard me at my best:  drunk.

Also, do you know the beer selection in Indy bars sucks?  I never thought I'd get to be a Milwaukee snob, but come on.  Get something good on tap.

@Seefee Oh. You need to find new friends!

@Seefee Well at least you were drunk while you were depressed!
