Colts Authority's Week 14 NFL Power Rankings
Written by Greg Cowan on .

Week 12 is in the books, which means Colts Authority's Power Rankings are back! After the jump you'll find the teams ranked 1-32 based on our writers' aggregate rankings. Tell us what you think of our lunacy in the comments!

You can compare these week's rankings with our rankings last week.Slight change from previous weeks: No individual rankings. This will return next week, but I'm under the weather and not feeling up to doing tables and lists. Sorry:)
There ya have it! Agree? Disagree? Have your own rankings you want to share? Do it in the comments below!
SPECIAL NOTE: Thanks to Colts Authority writer Josh Boeke for the awesome Power Rankings Banner. He's getting a 75% raise! Congrats, Josh!
SPECIAL SPECIAL NOTE: I was also sick of looking at that bland old data table (as much as I love data tables), so I made up this nifty revamped power rankings chart. This is Josh by the way.
When are we going to admit that the Eagles are the worst team in the league? I mean, if they were to play Jacksonville today, I'd pick the Jaguars. I'd even pick the Chiefs if it was in Kansas City. Over the last eight games they've been the absolute worst football team I can remember watching, and I follow the CFL. Seriously.
@LouPin Haha. I generally just avoid watching them. I think people have a hard time separating expectations from reality. The Eagles were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders this year, so to imagine they are actually the worst in the league is a bit tough for the old brain to handle.
Four teams ahead of us lost and we didn't move past them in the polls? Are you sure the west coast voters are seeing our games? Just because we're not in the SEC doesn't mean we should be dissed like that!
@smonroe The SEC reference is priceless ... but in truth, the only people who wouldn't move the Colts up are Colts fans themselves. We saw how bad they truly looked through 56 minutes ... I mean, I'm not going to knock them down a peg over a terrific win, but they didn't do much to deserve higher than 10th.
Congratulations to Josh on the raise! Let's calculate it out now: 0.75 * $0.00 is...
(*ducks*)
Am I the only one who is enjoying the Jets circus? There is just something delightful in watching blowhards like Ryan fail and motivational speakers like Tebow consigned to irrelevance. You don't have to be German to enjoy a good dose of schadenfreude once in a while.
@hankster Ryan will be back somewhere I have no doubt (if not back in NY). Sanchez seems like your typical college douche QB. I don't really have an opinion about Tebow... he isn't very good but beyond that....
@Colt_Following No opinion about Tebow? You must be one of the only people on the internet not to have an opinion about Tebow.
I guess my dislike comes from the intense love he somehow inspired while playing some of the most offensive football I've ever seen.
There is just something about being told that the evidence my own eyes and brain is providing me is somehow wrong that really annoys me on a fundamental level. Plus I was with my Steelers buddies at a bar for the playoffs and was frankly offended by the constant Tewboing we were subjected to.
I think I need to start a support group or something.
@Colt_Following @hankster Oh I know he's a nice guy. But he can't play football, so being told repeatedly that he was good deeply annoyed me. Basically, I don't hate Tebow on a personal level, but I do hate his fans and those who sought use him to make football completely about spectacle and feel good stories not about strategy, skill, and competition.
My hat really goes off to Elway and the Broncos organization who simply said we cannot win with Tebow. Elway's moves last off season said, we (the Broncos) are about good play and winning not about spectacle and ticket sales as he dumped a popular, but incompetent QB and then went out and got the best QB in football.
The Jets on the other hand are about spectacle (apparently), so they brought in a popular guy who can't play to generate ticket sales. Thus I am enjoying the epic failure of everyone who had a hand in that decision. For the sake of Jets fans I hope some epic house cleaning goes on over there and they come out of it a better team.
@hankster I mean by all accounts he's a pretty great dude, and it's not like he was hyping himself, he can't control the insane devotion some people have. He did take a really bad team (I think 1-5 when he took over) to the playoffs and won in Pittsburgh. I realize he doesn't deserve a ton of the credit for that but he was pretty clutch last season even when playing herendiously bad for 3 quarters +. That game against Detroit was actually kind of a Tebow kind of game. Luck was bad to terrible for 3 quarters but played brilliantly for 5 amazing minutes and now he's in MVP discussions. Tebow did that for like 5 straight games, so the media hype kind of makes sense. I'll still think he isn't a good quarterback but I don't see any reason to dislike him for that.

@hankster Either that or an Andrew Luck one. Just not another Tom Brady or Ben Roethlesberger Super Bowl, anything else I'm okay with. Dalton or Flacco I have no feelings about, other than that they don't seem like Super Bowl winning QBs at this point
I can well imagine why you would not want to post individual rankings. (And it has nothing to do with any flu bug.)
I watch TV. I listen to the radio. i take to heart the words of infalliable on-air personalities. (I know they have to always be right, otherwise why would they be on the air?)
Therefore when I see that your little "poll" only has the team with the greatest player of all time ranked #15, it is little wonder that you would want to keep your votes a secret.
@DougEngland Well there was that article on NFL.com claiming Andrew Luck was the MVP of the league... so there's that.
