Re: the lack of publicity Luck gets compared to RG3.
I don't no if this came up, but what about putting stats aside and thinking about pure exposure? Luck has chosen to focus on football. RG3 has jumped right into advertising. I have lost count of the number of Gatorade and Subway commercials I've seen him in, and I'm in Canada so I don't even get that much American TV. If you factor in the huge Redskin fan base which is supposed to be number 2 or 3 in the NFL (I'll never understand why people want to cheer for a crummy team with a racist name and history) then it makes a lot of sense that everyone sees him as better since everyone is constantly reminded of RG3's existence. Plus he is a fantasy football beast, which really matters to a lot of people.
I think that the Sunday show is where we go nutz with reaction. The Monday show is where we go for the critical breakdown.;
That play for Allen in the gw-drive was something we should use more and more.
Vaughn tried his best to lose us the game, that stupid pass interference in the end on a stafford errant pass could have cost us the season.
We need to win against the Titans. I don't want to have to win a game against the Texans.
@chewie_33 Yea me too.. However if we win out and Texans get beat this week we will win the AFC South
@gregC I know that there's probably not stats on this but how has Reggie been vs former Colts defenders now on other teams? Maybe they are sharing some 'secret sauce'
Justin Snow is available isn't he.. If he can long snap he should be able to do regular snaps
The problem with college offenses are not the amount of film that is available, but most college offenses are based in the crazy mismatches of talent and athleticism between teams. Those mismatches are way smaller in the NFL.
The only other guy that would have the same type of success that we've had this year with this team is a former colts qb that we've known so well.
This Colts season to me is looking just like the 2010 season when our team STINKED and Manning just made everyone better, and carried a turd of a team even playing his worst football in almost 10 years. And that is what Luck is doing, carrying a bad team to the playoffs.
But RG3 is the right guy for the Washington job. If you swap him with Luck he would struggle mightly but he would still put some points on the board and create some highlights, but he wouldn't win 8 games like Luck has done.
I kinda wish his last name was something other than Luck. He should legally change his last name to 'Skill'
GREG RG3 SELLS, GET VIEWERS, LISTENERS AND WHATEVER. OF COURSE THAT EVERY SINGLE PLAY HE DOES WILL BE ON THE NFL NETWORK FRONTPAGE.
@chewie_33 Subway ran a commercial with both RGIII & Suh during the Colts game yesterday.. Come on folks know your audience
The average NFL commentator does not watch every single game. They really don't have the deep feel for any team. So they end up looking at stats, an thinking they are the law. Watch EVERY single play for the Colts vs Lions game. Look at what RG3 will do tonight, and the degree of difficulty of Luck's game will be way higher.
