I am listening to the recording right now since i couldn't listen to the live show. God I wish I could have called in. There is absolutely no way the Colts lost the superbowl because they rested their starters. There is only one soul reason why they lost and that's because Freeney wasn't healthy. Once his ankle gave out, the pass rush was non-existent since Mathis was doubled. You can't beat an elite QB if you can't pressure him and that is what the Colts did not do. The lack of a pass rush was the sole reason the Colts lost the superbowl. Any other reason or claim why the Colts lost the superbowl, like "resting players" is asinine
I know I sound like Brad in this post, but you just cant convince me otherwise. I cannot think of another reason the Colts lost. Sure their was the pick six and the drops and Hank Basket, but if Freeney was 100%, he and Mathis could have generated enough pressure to cause a few three and outs, turnovers, or sacks to provide more opportunities for the Colts offense.
@GregC You gotta give me some info big guy. Alright? Also, is it just you and the lady (I think her name is Lauren) on?
Oh, by the way, the Saints rested their starters too in 2009. And won the Super Bowl. Soo....resting starters.......bad or good?
The Colts momentum in '06? Seriously? After being destroyed by Jacksonville? And the 1st loss against Houston? Yeah. Momentum is vital.
I guess that momentum helped the Patriots a lot in 2007. I mean, the Giants were TERRIBLE too, right? That's the only thing I need to hear now.
Let's be honest. No one. NO ONE. Not even Kravitz cared about Week 16 then. NO ONE. If they did, they had their priorities all messed up.
@LovinBlue Definitely. But during Super Bowl week? Not at all. Week 16 was the easy explanation for the loss for the fans and a media full of resentment.
Playoffs and Super Bowls are incredibly luck dependent ESPECIALLY in a one-game elimination format like football. Blaming GMs for Super Bowl losses is absurd.
Uh, the Jets in 2009 had the 2nd most dominant defense in DVOA era. Peyton shredded them.
PEYTON MANNING MADE ONE OF THE BEST THROWS OF HIS LIFE TO AUSTIN COLLIE 45 YARDS DOWN FIELD IN DOUBLE COVERAGE.
So now the Colts lost the SB because of Polian. RIGHT. I mean, it wasn't about Freeney's injury, or injuries, or a dumb play by Hank Baskett. NO. It's because of the momentum. I'm pretty sure everyone was thinking that during Porter's interception. "Damn you, Bill Polian".
On the other hand, you and I are a lot more replaceable, so we probably don't want to be too horrible to our coworkers or customers. There aren't a lot of people who can replace Peyton Manning and Bill Polian. Highly talented, irreplaceable geniuses are often difficult. People who HAVE to deal with them usually learn to, because getting rid of them generally winds up being bad for their organization and other affiliated organizations.
BINGO! It's their ****ing job!!! You have to GET the information. You have to get the interview. You have to establish the same relationship you were talking about between players and media. You can't expect them to hand everything to you. I'm not even sure if it's about who's getting the info first. The complaint itself sounds ridiculous coming from journalists.
Well, Greg is a Canadian alien...so he does have a mothership. I assume populated with moose-Eskimo hybrids.

@BlueMark18 Will Carroll (the Injury Expert) wrote about this very thing and cited it as a reason to remove himself from Twitter. He didn't want the quality of his product compromised by the pressure to get it published too soon.
