11:00pm - ??:??: Listener Calls
We'll take listener calls on all topics
Last year was his third year. Rookie in 2009, was awful. 2010 was good, but yeah, last year was down again.
Tonight featured more football than usual this offseason. That a two week streak folks! Kyle and Rohan joined Laura and Greg for another fun, fact-filled show.
Tonight we debated Edgerrin James and reminisced about the golden-grilled wonder. Laura updated us about some significant news Kyle noted earlier regarding the improving health situation for the Colts as the team approaches training camp. The team debated the merits of giving Luck more preseason snaps than are customary.
Greg also noted there are quite a few new shows debuting on Colts Authority Radio--stay tuned for a published listening guide/schedule.
On a side note we learned tonight that our listeners may not actually follow football at all. In fact, we're not certain they are aware this is a show about the Indianapolis Colts. Josh and Andrew both professed to not liking Edgerrin James. Or was it Jesse James? Either way they don't like it or perhaps they are all too young to remember the Edge. Sadly some of us are really old enough to remember the Eric Dickerson years. Get off my lawn!
Greg talked up Drew Stanton. Laura hyped the rising tide for Jerry Hughes. We all drank a beer per the terms of the drinking game. Kyle attempted to ground us in reality and mentioned the uncertainty about the offensive line plans. We all took a deep breath while attempting to project Ijalana's final destination on the right side of the offensive line. Afterward we discussed running backs--scary stuff beyond Brown. We also talked about options for wideout alignments.
OK guys...that's it. I'm fried sunny side up!
I was mistaken: 2009 STL QBS: Bulger, Kyle Boller, and Keith Null
@Kyle Rodriguez Definitely but I'm just not sure what purpose he serves. Rookies rarely block well especially when they play in the spread offense like Mississippi State employed.
@Kyle Rodriguez I honestly believe that Ballard will be starting by midseason.. he's the real deal.
@SpencerFGray I do as well. Who starts at RG? That's going to be key to the running game.
@coltsauth_todd I don't like any of our candidates at RG, assuming Ijilana eventually becomes a tackle. I think it's a position we're just going to have to suffer through this year.
@coltsauth_todd @SpencerFGray Personally, I think they like McGlynn there. I don't neccessarily. I'd like Reitz/Ijalana as my guards.
@Kyle Rodriguez @SpencerFGray Yeah. McGlynn's never been more than a middling guy. Grigson likes his guys but I doubt they can count on running behind him. He's never showed the prospects to start long-term. I think he had one year he started but couldn't hold the job.
yea yea, we know it's early, but you can download all of our shows from ColtsAuthority.com, Stitcher.com, BlogTalkRadio.com, or iTunes
How do I join your fantasy league? I already have a league on nfl.com, but would like to join.
For Greg the "next step" usually means "one step over the line." Just saying.
And yes I remember Webvan but you cool people on the west coast were the only ones that got it. They started east with major cities but it never made it to me :( I dreamed of ordering odd items and having someone bring them to me late at night just to creep them out.
