Greg... as I am a terrible patron of this site, and didn't get to listen to the latest Podcast live, I have a question about last week's podcast. (And I'm sorry if you already addressed it.) Near the end, you made the comment that you had heard Wormtongue Kravitz on Canadian radio, saying some crap like "if Eli wins the Super Bowl he would be better than Peyton." Could you please elaborate on exactly what you heard him say?
Thanks.
I remember hearing about teams being interested in him, but no confirmation of an official interview.
My point is why would he accept the VP job if he can get the GM somewhere else?
gotta be some incentive for him to stay here
Anyone remember when Rebecca couldn't afford to give Woody and Carla a raise so she gave them a new title? Then Sam got jealous and she gave him a new title too? Anyone?
Yeah..same thing here I think. Nothing substantial other than a title.
@coltsauth_todd@LovinBlue he can, but honestly don't think he has as much of a pull as Wayne might. I feel like fitting in a C in an existing line (especially one as specialized as Saturday) would be much different than putting in Wayne
@LovinBlue@coltsauth_todd@mshah9008 He was offered a front-office job, though, so who knows.
@coltsauth_todd@mshah9008 I could see him following Manning. If Manning doesn't play, I think Saturday doesn't play, either.
If he's healthy enough to play elsewhere the real story becomes why won't Peyton Manning restructure.
Key to Mathis and Garcon is doing something with Clark and Freeney.
I honestly don't buy that right now... if it were coming out after combine and other workouts... maybe... right now? "loving luck above all else"... don't buy it
I think the only thing Peyton cares about (since he wants to stay with the Colts) is the n1 pick. If Irsay says that Luck is the only choice, Peyton will go. Money won´t motivate him either way.
The package from the ESPN The Mag party I worked at: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7540129
I'm sort of unhappy with the leaks from the Manning camp too. He should have taken the high ground and just let it slide.
If he really wanted to respond he'd wait until he was released and then put on a throwing clinic.
The Colts have blood on their hands as well. Neither side has done a good job here.
@coltsauth_todd I understand, but what the fuck were those sources doing? Peyton needs support, not premature anonymous announcements *coming from the Colts!* about the end of his career.
@BlueMark18 Manning was waived and we've signed him to an exclusive agreement to sing on the Podcast every week.
@BlueMark18 Actually he's going to be doing Alex Trebek during Greg's Sean Connery routine.
@BlueMark18 Greg and Laura will interview Andrew Brandt to talk about Peyton´s situation.
