Gary Brackett Talks to Colts Authority

Written by Nate Dunlevy.

The Colts recently released Gary Brackett, but Colts fans still love him.

The former team captain and middle linebacker has written a book about his inspirational and amazing lifestory.

"Winning" tells the tale of Bracketts' amazing rise from walk-on at Rutgers to captain of the Super Bowl champions.

I caught up with Gary at Black Dog Books.

Gary is an amazing man. It was such an honor to meet him. I couldn't thank him enough for all he has done for our city.

"Winning" was one of the slew of books I got for Christmas this year.  I haven't read it yet, but am anxious to get started.  Gary certainly has a great life story to tell.  In addition, everyone should be proud of the Impact Foundation that Gary started.  It is a wonderful charitable organization that offers aid to kids suffering from serious illnesses.  All Colts fans should be proud of the years Gary was with the team.  Thanks for posting the interview Nate.

Obviously the Colts didn't win as many Super Bowls as we would have liked during the last decade... but because of players like Gary Brackett, I was always proud to have rooted for them.

(Did Gary give any hints on teams that might be interested in him?)
