Peyton Manning's health and availability for the season opener is in serious doubt.
As originally reported by 1070 the Fan host JMV on Twitter, Peyton Manning is not recovering from neck surgery as quickly as expected and is now likely to undergo a second surgery which could well end his season.
ESPN's Chris Mortensen is reporting that Peyton will be evaluated by doctors, but that currently no second surgery 'is planned'.
There is currently little hope of Manning playing in the season opener.
Fans would do well to brace themselves for the worst.
